First of all I'd like to wish you a super duper fantastic New Year!
Personally I haven't really been in that 'New Year-mood' lately, it's just the same as it is with Christmas: As I usually spend it with my family, being with them and doing stuff like baking cookies, taking a walk with my dad on Christmas Eve and so on is what gets me in that mood. Being in another country at the moment, it was just different. I'm not saying it was bad. Just doesn't feel like Christmas and now New Year at all.
Okay, this still sounds quite..negative! But it was great, really. I had an amazing time.
Especially experiencing the 'Japanese New Year' was absolutely interesting for me. For example going to a shrine at midnight. I caught a cold which is why I felt quite bad yesterday and my hostmum was like 'You don't have to go if you don't feel good', but honestly. I'd rather eat shrimp all day than miss something like that. (For the record: I really.don't.like.shrimp. The taste is okay, but the...shape...argh xD)
Whatever, I haven't done anything on dA since August. But I told you I wouldn't
Of course I do read all comments and try to answer some of them, but it's just too much.
Yet I'd like to thank everyone for their favs and comments, really appreciated!!
I'll go back to Germany at the end of January which is SO SOON. Too soon. I've met so many great people here, I really should have stayed for one whole year. But hey. I'll enjoy the rest of the month even more!
So if you're interested in my life as an exchange student in Japan, you might want to read my blog [link] (German & English). Haven't updated it for a few weeks, but I will soon.
December was great. I went on a school trip to Hokkaido for five days. I definitely enjoyed that, we went to a museum about Ainu culture and Asahi Yama Zoo. I don't like zoos at all, so I didn't like it as much as most of the others, but still...it's a nice zoo
The following Wednesday was all about ski, I'm glad I got the chance to do it again, but it was freaking cold! AND windy...
Then on Thursday we went to Otaru and Sapporo, in fact we could go wherever we wanted in our groups.
We were lucky to meet two taxi drivers who showed us the most interesting places for 3-4 hours for about 30 each. Which really isn't expensive at all, they even told us all about the city's history and stuff, it was really more like a guided city tour than anything else.
A lot of other cool things have been taking place in December, but I've already written too much just now...I'll put it on my blog later with nice photos... Many.photos.
So once I get back to Germany I might be more active again. Might. I guess school won't be fun after half a year of absence...But I'll definitely upload some stuff eventually.
I hope you're all doing great and again: Happy new year!!
Kato (apparently my new nickname O.o)
